In 2019 I had the oppourtunity to go to Changchun, China along with Josh Flynn & Vicky Humphris for 2 months and lend our experiencce to a short film directed by Luc Toutounghi at the Jilin Animation Institute. Whilst there we made many puppets at multiple scales against a tight deadline while also teching the teachers at the university about our methods of puppetmaking. Many of the puppets we made were in collaboration with the teachers who were also kind enough to tech us about different materials and puppetmaking methods. I focused on making a miniature coachmen puppet to fit an existing carriage which had already been made whilst Josh focused on main character sculpts & armature. I moulded and cast him out of fastcast & latex. I didnt sculpt the horse but I did mould and cast it.
